In times of crisis, the world's greatest innovation surfaces

When the world calls for help, we see communities come together to rebuild and sustain.
However, where there are problems, there are also opportunities. We recently went through a pandemic, and still currently feeling the effects in most regions.
The pandemic has caused everything to change; the way we eat, sleep, buy, socialize, etc. To adapt to new environments and changes, new technology needed to be implemented. Today mostly everything is digital and virtual, but this didn’t exist prior, and if it did, on a small scale. Every aspect of life has room for opportunity.

A graph filled with Covid stats

When an environment changes there an abundance of opportunities to create an impact and use this phase shift to your advantage. In 2008 in the financial crash, AirBnB’s innovation proved into a new era of the way we lodge. Artificial adoption has been increased exponentially since COVID, in areas of health, consultation, service, and more others, to create more sense of space by having robotic means facilitate certain work. This new means of innovation comes from startups and rarely enterprise corporate companies, It's too much of a risk and expensive for them to build and coldly adapt to new technology. Since the pandemic Ai in robotics has advanced more in the past year than it did 4-5 years ago, why? Well, our world called for new ways of doing work, so it was forced upon us to innovate. Now I mention Ai more than anything because in my area of expertise, but this doesn’t mean the innovation was limited to just that. We see new ways of payments, growing food, selling food, handling healthcare especially, and more.

These innovators are solving the world's biggest problems because the world has presented itself as a reset in innovation. However, such fast environmental changes also cause a high risk in tech adoption. So to combat this where the true entrepreneurs become powerful, by implementing strategies in multiple test areas to create that growth and adoption. Essentially putting together a mix of a growth hacking team, and researchers and engineers working in harmony is crucial. The timing for new tech adoption in a crisis is rapid and quick as we scramble to solve our problems in the new environments. In the education systems, we see this increasingly so, public schools are rapidly implementing tech to help with virtual education. They are running through programs every month trying to find the best tech fit. So the team behind needs to rapid in their product evolution. The best innovators can identify a problem and use the market shift to slingshot their efforts into success, trust me a lot harder than it sounds. The world right now is a global accelerator for your business either you’re making it in the next year or not. A lot of making it through has to do with what I covered in my last article about pivoting.
