Why is it important to have enough data?
Data has always been important for organizations, but its role has changed over time. So, why is it important to have enough data?
🕐 Stop looking at the clock, I can tell that you are. Are you rushing to finish something you know you should have started at an earlier time? Well, the question is why didn't you start at an earlier time, what prevented you from doing that. I think you're procrastinating a little bit.
Procrastination is the act of delaying or postponing a task or set of tasks. So, whether you refer to it as procrastination or akrasia or something else, it is the force that prevents you from following through on what you set out to do.
Procrastination usually involves ignoring an unpleasant, but likely more important task, that derives us from actually doing the task. Giving in to this impulse can have serious consequences. For example, even minor episodes of procrastination can make us feel guilty or ashamed. It can lead to reduced productivity and cause us to miss out on achieving our goals. Imagine you have a design project you need to get done by Friday, but instead, in your mind, you thought “ I got this, I am going to relax for a bit” and end up watching the entire Breaking Bad series, hehe. Now, when it’s time to work, you underestimated the project and became stressed to complete it.
This could be a couple of reasons why you are not doing the task right away, usually, some excuse will come up and revert your attention. You need to recognize what exactly is causing you to no do the task, it could be:
Lack of organization- too much to work out at a quick glance
Medical condition- Lack of focus on a timely basis: ADHD, ADD, etc.
Comfortability- Mindset of relaxing and enjoying the day
Anxiety- Thinking about it too much where you begin to think “ I can’t do this”
You need to give ample amount of time for working and relaxing, working too much eventually tears you down where the quality of your work is absolute garbage, no offense. You need to realize the essence of time and the nature of your personality. Meaning you need to focus on your priorities and your skillset, so you can identify how much time is needed for each task.
This will give you the essence of completing and feeling good things are getting done. If you shoot too big, and if you know deep down that you can’t complete it, don’t do it. The stress and the complication is a setback.
Why are doing your job, tasks, etc. You need to figure out your overall goals and get working on them. If you are not satisfied or truly happy where you are, then this is another reason there is procrastination. Your hype/ motivation is affected by the actual work being done.
Do what you need to do to get the job done. For example, give yourself a reward for completing the task. So that way in your head, you are getting something for doing the task/ project. Tricking your mind is also based on mindset, you can view the project/ tasks to be easy. When things are easy your mind tends to those first then anything else.
